Portland, Ore.—Jan 11, 2010 — Legend Homes today announced its end-of-the-year sale moved 19 of 22 homes, breaking Oregon’s trend of down home sales in the closing weeks of 2009.
The average sales price of homes in the Portland area was down 11.4 percent in November, according to the Association of Realtors, but closed sales were up 72.4 percent over the same time in 2008. Local realtors real say many homeowners were capitalizing on the federal housing tax credit historically low mortgage rates.
